How to Get a Designated?

Getting designated means, you can make job offers under the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program. To get designated, your organization must be;

  • In good standing- means your organization is found in the federal-provincial agreements for;
    • New Brunswick
    • Newfoundland and Labrador
    • Nova Scotia
    • Prince Edward Island
  • Operating in the Atlantic region for at least two years
  • Working with a settlement service provider organization

How to Make a Job Offer?

When you have selected a candidate for your job, you can make a job offer. To do so, you will need to fill out the Offer of Employment to a Foreign National form. After completing the form, you’ll have to give a copy to your candidate. 

Submit an Endorsement Application

After you officially make a job offer, your candidate can apply for permanent resident status. Before that, you have to endorse your job offer through an endorsement application. In the form, you will have to show;

  • A proof that your organization haven’t been able to fill the job locally
  • It meets the requirements of one of three AIP programs
  • Completed and signed Offer of Employment to a Foreign National
  • The settlement plan of candidate

Once the province endorses the job offer, they’ll send a Certificate of Endorsement to the candidate.
