International Experience Canada is a set of programs that allows people to travel to Canada and work there. This work permit is a legal document through which interested people can work in Canada.

Types of International Experience Canada Work Permits

The work permits in Canada depend on which type of work permit the candidate is applying for. The IEC program has 3 different categories of travel and work experience. These are-

Working Holiday IEC

This is an open work permit in Canada. This applies to candidates who don’t have a Canadian job offer. Applicants allowed for the working holiday IEC program receive an open work permit. While they don’t have a job offer, they want the freedom and flexibility to work for more than one employer in Canada.

Through this work permission, the candidates can work anywhere in Canada. This is a popular voice for the youth and students who love to travel, want to explore Canada and earn money from their jobs. However, the Working Holiday IEC allows the candidates to live in multiple locations.

Young Professionals IEC

The Young Professionals Programme is for candidates with a Canadian job offer that counts towards their professional development. Applicants must have professional work experience to be eligible for this program.

This is an employer-specific work permit. In this category, the applicants will work for the same employer in the same location. This can be a good choice for people with professional experience and a job offer.

International Co-op Internship IEC

This employer-specific work permit allows students to complete an internship for their post-secondary education. The applicants must get an internship or co-op job offer to qualify for this internship program. The internship must be linked to the field of the studies.

This internship program can help the candidates to gain work experience related to the field. Candidates who get a job offer required to complete their studies mostly apply for this Co-op internship program. As this is an employer-specific work permit, the applicants must work for the same employer in the same location.

Conclusion
