Renunciation defined voluntary to giving up one’s citizenship or nationality. It is the opposite of naturalization. It means that a person voluntarily acquires a citizenship, and particular from denaturalization.
Revoke means to take away something, and revoking citizenship means to take away one’s citizenship or nationality. Canadian citizenship may cancel if the person committed fraud or misrepresented themselves. Knowingly hid information on immigration also can revoke from Canadian citizenship.
If the person revoked from citizenship or nationality, the person must wait ten years from the date of revocation to get back citizenship again.

Grounds for revoking citizenship
In certain circumstances, Canadian law allows for revocation. Citizenship may cancel if the person before and after coming into force of subsection 10 (2) and 10.1(2). This law allows if the person convicted of terrorism, high treason, or depending on the sentence received. It also served as a member of an armed force of a country.
Impact of revocation
Revoked person must wait ten years from the date of cancellation before applying for citizenship. Withdrawn person can not apply for resumption of citizenship under subsection 11 (1).

How revocation works
Before revoked from citizenship, they will send a request for information letter. It explains that the person obtained citizenship by false representation or fraud. Withdrawn people have 30 days to respond.
If the person continues the revocation process, the person will receive a notification letter, and they have to respond within 60 days. The Federal Court makes decisions for all citizenship revocation cases. The Minister’s decision will approve their request.
Renounce Canadian Citizenship
If the person renounce their Canadian citizenship, the person loses all the rights. They also lose privileges of being a Canadian citizen. They will have no status in Canada. It means that if the person wishes to return to Canada permanently, the person will have to apply for a permanent resident visa.
If the person wants to return to Canada temporarily, the person will have to apply for a temporary resident visa.
